The Dayara Bugyal trekking starts from Barsu, a small village in the district of Uttarkashi that serves as the base camp for this breathtaking experience. From Barsu Village you will reach this lush green high altitude meadow. Barsu is a small village that known as the base camp of the trek to Dayara Bugyal. After spending the previous night at the holy town of Haridwar, we drive from there to Barsu. This would be a full-day journey and you would pass through the other famous towns of the Uttarakhand state including Chamba, Rishikesh and Uttarkashi. Located in the Uttarkashi district, Barsu is a small village at a height of 1000 metres above sea level and lies on the way to the town of Gangotri. This village serves as the base camp for Dayara Bugyal trek. The drive from Uttarkashi town to Barsu (about 273 km) will be undertaken along the Bhagirathi River. On reaching Barsu,overnight stay.
The Dayara Bugyal trekking starts from the next day. As you proceed to Barnala witness forests of deodar and silver oaks. This is the area from where the scenic view Dayara begins. What makes this experience even more special is the Himalayan mountain range in the background. This is an ideal campsite for setting up tents for the overnight stay.
After spending the night in the tent, trek towards of the Dayara Bugyal in the morning. The experience of walking amidst dense forests of the Himalayas is simply breathtaking. As the climb towards Dayara comes to an end, an extensive meadow can be seen. From this place, you can see the peaks like Gangotri , Black Peak, Srikanth, Jaonli, Rudregaira, Draupadi ka Danda and Bandarpunch. In the morning, after having breakfast proceed towards Bakaria, which is the uppermost point on the Dayara Bugyal trek. The ascent to Bakaria Top is quite steep and it begins along with the green meadows. The view from the top of this peak is mesmerizing, with deep valley, snow-covered mountains and towns of the district of Uttarkashi
Today, you start your journey towards Pichkiya and that would take about 6 to 7 hours. The campsite at Pichkiya is surrounded by forests; with inner valleys at this place being home. Overnight stay is there.
In the morning, we will start back to Barsu, which crosses thick forests. Half-way down this trail, you can see the Barsu village and some of its nearby settlements. Reach the village by afternoon and set up a camp for the night.
After completion of this amazing trek, drive back to Haridwar.
